Start Approvals and Use Comments and Task Tabs

Overview

This process will show you how to start the Approval Process and how to use the Comments and Tasks tabs.

The Approval Process begins when a user determines that their item is ready to pass on.

The Comments tab is useful to help track changes or requests that may be pending for an item. The Comments tab also allows for all notes to be stored in one large, easy-to-access location.

The Tasks tab is used to assign a specific task to a user. 

Instructions

  1. Navigate to Agendas tab

  2. Select an agenda

  4. Click on the edit button

  5. Select Initiate

    • Note: The item will now pass through the first line of approvers.
  6. Click on Approvals tab to view who the approvers are, as well as the Routing Status

    • Note: The item can still be modified while in the approval process, by both the user and approvers.
  7. Select the Comments tab

  8. Select Add Comment

    • Comment: Enter comment into the large text field
    • CC Approvers: Check to notify approvers via email of new comment
    • Notify/CC: Select emails
  10. Select Save

    • Task Description: Information about the task
    • Status: Select a task status
    • Priority: Assign a priority for the task
    • Assigned To: Assign one user to the task
      • Note: User will receive an email notification of a pending task
    • Due Date: Enter a date the task must be finished by
    • Notify: Choose to enter email addresses to notify of task addition
  14. Select Save
