Backup approvers help you approve your assigned items, if you are unable to. This article will show you how to add a backup approver for another user.
- Navigate to the User Profile > Site Settings
- Select Users in the Users and Security category
- Edit the user you want to create a backup approver for
- Select the Impersonate button
- Note: This will allow you to complete actions, beyond being a backup approver, on the behalf of another user.
- While in impersonate mode, follow the regular steps to create a backup approver
- Make sure to log out of the user's account
