Create a Backup Approver for Another User

Overview

Backup approvers help you approve your assigned items, if you are unable to. This article will show you how to add a backup approver for another user. 

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the User Profile > Site Settings

  2. Select Users in the Users and Security category

  3. Edit the user you want to create a backup approver for

  4. Select the Impersonate button

    • Note: This will allow you to complete actions, beyond being a backup approver, on the behalf of another user. 
  5. While in impersonate mode, follow the regular steps to create a backup approver
  6. Make sure to log out of the user's account
